May 4 - Regiment Music Only Rehearsal
May 6 - Middle School and High School Jazz Concert
May 19 - Awards and End of Year Concert
May 22 - Graduation Ceremony

Our Concert conflicts have been resolved and it is May 19, at 6:00pm.


Regiment Music rehearsals are beginning next week on May 4 at 5:00pm. This will be music only (guard is having separate rehearsals). Percussion may also have a separate rehearsal as I am locking down some dates and times with our percussion instructor. Music will be passed out on Monday.

Also regarding Regiment - Please turn in your forms and payments. We are still receiving papers daily but there are a few members who are behind on paperwork and payments. You should have received a letter detailing what you have/have not turned in. If you have any questions regarding this please contact Mr. H or Ms. S and we will happily let you know!

Fundraising:
Our World's Finest Candy Bar fundraiser is beginning next week as well. You can find a form here or you should be receiving one from your son/daughter as well.

Thank you for a great year so far. Lets keep the momentum going into and through the summer!

IHSA Results

We wanted to say congratulations to all of the ensembles that performed at the IHSA Music Organizational contest last weekend.

Every ensemble performed extremely well and we received a I rating in Mixed Choir, Treble Choir and Wind Ensemble and a II rating for Concert Band.

We are very proud of the work the students have been doing and the music we are making together.

Congratulations again.

Upcoming Events

Saturday, April 16 is our IHSA orginizational contest. We will be leaving approximately 7am and returning approximately 4pm. Please look for an itinerary as we get a bit closer to the event as they are still adjusting some performance times. Many other events are detailed in the Dates section below however please note the change to the High School Band & Choir Concert (moved from April 24 to May 8).


Our Butterbraid fundraiser is currently underway! Please support the students as they work towards earning money for their student account.

As we continue collecting paperwork, we have kept track of incoming payments. You should be receiving receipts from your son/daughter if you have made a payment as every payment we have received, we have written a receipt for. Please note that April 5th (the first suggested payment date) has passed and approximately 1/3 of the contracted Regiment members have made a payment. Please consider making a payment soon!

We are proud to announce a new way to pay dues! The online web store for Disctrict 430 now has a Renegade Regiment item and you may make payments directly online. You can find the link to the web store through the District site or click here!

Congratulations to all who participated in both the choir and band concerts this Sunday! Both concerts were a huge success and really displayed how much all of the students have learned and progressed.

When: The Holiday concert is this Sunday, December 5th at 1:30pm for the choirs and 3:00pm for the bands

Call time: Concert Band and Wind Ensemble: 2:30pm

Where: Sandwich High School Gym

Dress: Students should dress professionally. No tennis shoes or jeans!

Holiday colors are encouraged but not required

The Holiday Concerts feature the high school, and middle school choir and choirs as well as the elementary band. Please remember that concert attendance is required for members of the ensembles.

Dress is professional (similar to the IMEA auditions). Please bring money for the meals listed below that you are responsible for. Also, remember to arrange for a ride home after the concert as the bus is only taking us to NIU.

Senior Chorus:
8:30 Seating in NIU Holmes Student Center: Sandburg Auditorium
9:00-12:00 Rehearsal
12:00-1:30 Lunch: Use Subway and Huskie Hub located in the lower level of the Holmes Student Center
1:30-4:30 Rehearsal
4:30-6:00 Dinner (on your own) and dress for concert. Move belongings to Regency Room, Holmes Student Center
6:00-6:30 Rehearsal in Ellington Ballroom, Holmes Student Center
6:45 Seating for Concert in Ellington Ballroom, Holmes Student Center
7:00 Concert in Ellington Ballroom, Holmes Student Center

Note: There is a $5.00 concert admission fee per adult for each of the Jazz, Junior, and Senior concerts. Children, students, and senior citizens will be admitted free of charge. The Junior and Senior Band/Chorus Concerts will be held in the Ellington Ballroom located in the Holmes Student Center, NIU. The Junior/Senior Orchestra Concert will be held in the Boutelle Concert Hall located in the Music Building, NIU. The Junior/Senior Jazz Bands and Vocal Jazz Ensemble concert will be held in the Performing Arts Center located at Hononegah High School, Rockton.

Welcome To The Craft Show and Marching Indians Weekend

What a busy weekend! The craft show is upon us again. All of the volunteer schedules are set and the students are eager to help. Also this weekend, there is a playoff game at Mendota and the Marching Indians have been invited to play! Below you will find the information regarding the craft show and the playoff game.

Dress: Dress in school colors. Black pants, and black shoes. No jeans.
